Keept helps you prepare and substantiate work-related expenses for the Australian financial year. It runs entirely on your iPhone. Keept does not give tax advice and does not lodge your return.

What Keept does

Keept turns a year of paper receipts, PDFs, and photos into an audit-ready substantiation pack.

• Capture. Scan paper receipts with the camera, pick photos from your library, import PDFs from the Files app, or share a document into Keept from another app.
• Extract. Dates, amounts, GST, vendor names, and a suggested ATO label are extracted on device using Apple's Vision and Foundation Models frameworks. No document or text is sent to a server.
• Confirm. A fast review screen lets you accept or correct the extracted fields. The app suggests; you decide.
• Export. A deterministic PDF and CSV substantiation pack is generated at the end of the financial year for you and your accountant.

On device, by design

• Every receipt, every dollar figure, every label stays on your iPhone under iOS file protection.
• The only outbound network request in the entire app is an optional refresh of the ATO rules pack, which is a JSON file of rates, thresholds, and label definitions. That request sends nothing about you, your documents, or your usage.
• No analytics SDK. No third-party tracking. No Keept account, no sign-in, no cloud sync of your records.

This on-device boundary is enforced by an automated architecture test in the codebase.

What Keept is not

• Keept is not tax advice. Label suggestions are ranked candidates that you confirm. They are not determinations.
• Keept does not lodge your return. The audit pack is a local file for you and your accountant.
• Always confirm deductibility with a registered tax professional or the ATO.
